Am I required to have a consultation before receiving services?
Although consultations are highly recommended, they not required for all of my services. You do not need a consultation for any of Sarah’s facials. If you are looking to join my Acne Bootcamp Program or are interested in more advanced treatments like Procell Microchanneling or advanced chemical peels, then a consultation will be required. *A brief overview of skincare and medical history will always be performed at the beginning of each service*
I’m not sure what service to book, what do you recommend?
Sarah’s “New Client Appointment” is the service to book if you have never visited Sarah Pierce Aesthetics and you are seeking out direction and wanting to establish a plan for your skin. This service includes a in-depth consultation + custom facial treatment. We will come up with a treatment plan and home care routine that is tailored to you and your skin.
How long is the Acne Bootcamp Program?
Every client’s timeline for getting clear is different. The length of Acne Bootcamp depends on factors like the severity of acne, the type of acne, the client’s commitment and consistency with their home care routine, check-in’s and treatments.
For your acne bootcamp, how long until I can expect to see results?
Results and timeline for getting clear varies between clients. Some clear in as little as 10-12 weeks, some can take several months to clear. Clients’ clearing timelines depend on many different factors.
What is the difference between a dermatologist and an esthetician?
Unlike Dermatologists, Estheticians are not medical professionals. Rather than focusing on medical diagnosis’s, Estheticians will focus on detailed and tailored skincare treatments and recommended home care. Estheticians are not legally authorized to diagnosis any skincare conditions but can help aid their clients best address their skincare conditions, holistically, through skincare products and treatments, and professional advice regarding lifestyle habits. On a more personal note, Estheticians hold space for those who feel they have gone unheard and unseen by their medical skin professionals. Although there is always a place for prescription skincare treatments and supplements, Sarah Pierce Aesthetics will always encourage clients to first take a holistic approach to happy, healthy skin.
Can you help me choose what products are best for my skin?
Absolutely! Here at Sarah Pierce Aesthetics you will be recommended skincare products that are suitable to your skin type and budget.
Can I get a facial if I'm pregnant?
Absolutely! There are many options including facials and even chemical peels that are pregnancy safe.
What should I avoid before my appointment?
For best results, please avoid these things in the weeks prior to your appointment: prolonged direct sun exposure like a beach/lake/pool day, Botox and filler, other facial corrective treatments, facial waxing, tanning bed, and please discontinue retinoid use 2-3 days before facial treatment. If you are unsure about any of these or need more detail, please reach out to Sarah for more information.
What is your cancellation policy?
At Sarah Pierce Aesthetics, we strive to provide exceptional service to all of our clients. To ensure that we can accommodate everyone effectively and maintain the high quality of service you expect, we have implemented the following Cancellation and No-Show Policy.
- 24-Hour Notice Required: To avoid any charges, we require a minimum of 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This gives us the opportunity to offer the time slot to another client.
- Cancellation Fee: If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of your scheduled time, a cancellation fee of 25% will apply.
Can I bring my child to my appointment?
Children are not allowed in the treatment room. As a parent, I know how difficult it can be to fully relax when there are curious little hands and voices are in the room! Exceptions can apply to itty bitty sleeping/nursing babies!
